Ya Sudahlah
ist Bahasa und heißt glaub ich soviel wie "na egal". Falls ihr zu Hause keinen Sommerhit hattet, hört euch diesen hier drei mal an - schon sitzt der Ohrwurm.
Der Song ist für mich zu einem Synonym für Indonesien geworden, da er tagein tagaus hoch und runter gespielt wird und jeder ihn mitsingt. Früher oder später auch ich... .. und jetzt ihr!

the uphorian song :D
"Ya Sudahlah" could be translated as "ah whatever".. but I dont think the sense is for the feeling of 'whatever'. For me, as an Indonesian :), it's more like "It's OK" or "It does not matter'.. and if want to say "whatever".. we mostly say "it's up to you" with a little bit sarcastic/negative tones... (just trying to explain small stuff, and please correct me if I made mistakes in translating 'na egal' as 'whatever'. My german is bad still ;) )
This song was pretty popular.. but I did not really like it.. because after that its gone already.. not phenomenal.. hehehe
but you did try to sing it I guess heheh

egal
is the word in german and there is hardly any word for that in any other language.
Yeah, it's probably just a one hit wonder but as a foreigner it was that song we were faced with every day. So I got really annoyed and after that startet to like it :)
